I was inspired.
I watched and listened to the President’s speech last night and I was inspired. Since all I have is CNN to give me my dose of managed news each day, I was pleased to see on the morning after, that according to the poll they quoted, the President had inspired (at least to some degree), about 75% of the nation. This is good I thought, because the masses who want to be “the first to know” and use CNN as their opinion provider are more or less letting them know that it is ok to think it is ok to be inspired. And then as if the programmers did not want to let this feeling get out of hand, a few minutes later they put on a piece showing an ex-military man who is running for congress in Ohio campaigning on a “Bush has not been honest” platform. I do not remember the mans name but I think it is time to find out who this guy really is and if he has any credible claims to his position. My first thought was that here is a Kerry look-a-like.
