I am mad as hell and am not going to take it anymore.
Remember that line from the movie Network? I do not remember why the broadcaster said it on his last night on the air but it must have been akin to what I feel like shouting a lot lately.
When I heard the latest approval ratting for the war (60/40), all I could think about was how fickle the American public is, if this really represents the American public. What ever happened to a commitment to something?
And yet, I believe in my heart that there is a majority out there that is just confused by all the mixed messages that they are bombarded with on an hourly basis and are milling about the town square so to speak just waiting for someone to give them direction.
In order for democracy to work you have to have a concerned and informed public. When this happens you won’t see the opinion polls change like the shifting wind.
With the Internet we can make a difference.
