There are no rules...Consider this a gathering place where people of like minds, or different minds for that matter, can calmly or otherwise, discuss what ever makes you happy. I would expect however, thinking adults would settle their differences peacefully and use the power of words and logic to settle arguments over doctrine. If this is not possible, please take your fight to the street. I remember a line from an old book...."Never argue with a man after he has had three drinks. Ignore him if you can, fight him if you must, but never argue."

We have the Power.
Sometimes it seems that the whole world is upside down, and most of the people are crazy. Reminds me of an old saying my mother told me, about a hundred years ago…”Everyone is crazy except me and thee and sometimes I wonder about thee”. I know she didn’t mean it, at least I hope not.
Today. it seems that those of us who still try and think things out before speaking are in the minority, however, down deep I believe we are the quiet majority who when we have had enough we will rise up and talk back.
Remember when news reporters reported the news without adding their own opinions and commentary? Today, I feel that it is the news media that are creating the news in their own image. I see it everyday, and I don’t want to accept it anymore. Like the old movie, “Network”, where the broadcaster ended his broadcast by shouting “I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore.” The response was fast….people all over New York opened their windows and started shouting the same refrain. I don’t remember what all the fuss was about, only the shouting of discontented working class people.
The difference today, is that we all have a window to the world: We can make a difference in Public Opinion.

Katrina on my mind.
I would like to know if I am alone on this...CNN, my only source for news in my part of the world, has out-did themselves this time. Before the winds had even died down, they were starting to blame the fedral government for not acting fast enough to get things back to normal and that the war in Iraq had something to do with the continued delays. There will be plenty of time to start pointing fingers but certainly not now.
I was made aware, a long time ago, when you start pointing your finger at somone else, you almost always have three pointing back at you, unless you have lost a few over the years.
